The Vacancy
We are looking for a dynamic and energetic new leader for our Costume department to take over the role of Head of Costume. Under your direction the department will uphold its reputation for absolute excellence in all areas of costume and wigs, hair and makeup (WHAM) by continuing to initiate, develop and produce work of the very highest standards.
The department is responsible for the provision of Costume and WHAM for all Glyndebourne’s work using its expert in-house makers and running teams in its industry leading facilities both for new productions and revivals. The team also supports Glyndebourne's work offsite and on tour or on hire around the world.
You should have extensive experience of leadership in large scale Opera or Theatre production, with a thorough understanding of both period and contemporary costume design, construction techniques and materials. You will have a passion for supporting creative teams in production creation and revival, with a collaborative and supportive management style that promotes wellbeing, high performance and professional growth of their departmental team.
