The Vacancy

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Stage Technician with an Automation bias to join our Stage Staff department working overnight for the 2026 Festival.
You will be required to work as part of a team in realising the technical requirements of the stage department. This will centre mainly on changing over from one Opera to another, focussing primarily on flown items, maintaining scenery and equipment to the highest standard. You will assist with handling scenery for fit ups and changeovers as well as carrying out minor repairs.

You will be required to work an average of no more than 48 hours per week, including weekends.
During nights, you will be required to work an average of no more than 40 hours per week including weekends.
The normal working hours will be 22.00 until 7.00 the following morning on nights, 8.00 to 22.00 when on days. The weekly salary for this position is currently £815.81 on days, £935.11 on nights, plus any agreed increases for 2026.
